Star-Track WDT Tool, 51/53/58mm - Rotary Espresso Distributor
Break up clumps before they ruin your shot
WDT — the Weiss Distribution Technique — means stirring your ground coffee with fine needles to break up clumps and even out the coffee bed before tamping. The Star-Track does it with a rotary motion: set it on your portafilter, spin the handle, and the needles sweep through the grounds in smooth circles, leveling the bed in seconds with far less effort than hand-stirring.
Key features
- Rotary needle action — spinning needles sweep the grounds evenly with a simple twist
- Solid aluminum body — weighted, balanced feel on the counter
- Three sizes — 51mm for DeLonghi Dedica, 53/54mm for Breville Barista Express / Bambino, 58mm for standard prosumer machines
How to use it
- Grind your coffee into the portafilter.
- Rest the Star-Track on top and rotate the handle — let the needles sweep through the grounds.
- Lift it straight up, then tamp as usual.
Use it before every tamp and you'll see fewer spurting, uneven extractions — especially with lighter roasts that tend to clump.
